Mullens closes out 2025 with A-Main appearance in Gateway Dirt Nationals
Tanner Mullens raced at The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis on the first weekend in December. During the ninth edition of the Gateway Dirt Nationals, he grabbed one top-five finish to conclude his season.
Mullens was part of a 63-car Modified field at the 1/5-mile indoor track. With the field divided into two prelim nights, Mullens competed on Thursday. He turned in the second-quickest time in qualifying aboard his No. 02 Modified, then won his heat race from the pole. He went on to both start and finish fourth in the 20-lap, $5,000-to-win feature. He followed Ricky Thornton Jr., Dallon Murty and Trent Young under the checkered flag, with Dylan Sharp taking fifth.
Prior to Saturday’s finale, Mullens finished third in his qualifier, gridding him 15th for the $30,000-to-win main event. He retired just past halfway of the 30-lapper and recorded a 20th-place result with a DNF.
Mullens scored a total of 21 feature victories in a wildly successful 2025 season. He also finished in the top five 42 times, scored 51 top-10 results and finished as runner-up in the Summit USMTS National Championship point standings.
